How much will a project cost?

Every project is unique. Once we know more about your specific needs, we’ll be better able to project costs. Then, we do a few things to make sure costs are clear, such as providing regular cost reporting so there are no surprises at the end. For long-term projects, we bill regularly so you can see costs month-over-month.

How quickly can I get a writer?

We’ll be ready to discuss scheduling within 48 hours of receiving your project needs.

Where are you located? Do you work worldwide?

WATSON is located in Vancouver, BC, but we work with clients around the world.

What tools do you use? Will you use the tools we specify?

We’re more than the tools we use. The most important thing to know about us is that we’re quick to learn new tools and bring in whatever is needed for our clients and the project. As a strong base, we bring in expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Suite software, Adobe Creative Suite, oXyGen and Astoria, and Comply 365. For managing projects, we flex between online solutions, like Trello or Monday, and Microsoft solutions, like Project or straight-up Excel (hey, it works!). We’re also pretty good with XML, HTML, and CSS.

Now, having said all that, yes, we’ll use the tools that are important to you and your business.

Do you make recommendations if you think there’s something we need to change or improve upon?

You should know right off the bat, we love being brutally honest about business improvement. That’s because it’s fun to make things better. Improvement can lead to so many good things: cost savings, increased productivity, happy people, to name just a few.

We’ll be direct with you if we think there’s a better way to do something. We’ll explain why we think something should be different, and give you the information you need to make decisions. 

My SMEs are very busy. Can you still help?

We understand how valuable your time is. That’s why we show up prepared. We’ll do our own research and work at understanding the problem before we even talk to you. To make sure meetings are effective, we arrive with specific questions and ideas for solutions, if needed. We value your time in the same way we value our own.

How do you communicate with your clients?

In no particular order:

  • Meeting software, such as Zoom, Skype, Teams (your choice)
  • Collaboration tools, such as SharePoint, Trello, Monday, or Basecamp

What are your payment terms and conditions?

We accept payments by bank transfer (preferred) or cheque. All prices will be in Canadian dollars. Our net term is 30 days.

Will you follow our branding?

Most definitely. If you have a company brand, we’ll work with that. If you don’t have a company brand, we can help you build one. Our goal is to make you look good!
